Meet Our Team
Our experienced team of medical professionals is dedicated to providing the highest quality education.

Dr. Saad Razzaq
President
Hello everyone! I’m Saad, President at SonoRAY. My passion lies in medical education, especially in making point-of-care ultrasound learning practical, engaging, and accessible to everyone. I’ve always loved finding creative ways to teach and build programs that help trainees gain real-world confidence and skills. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through basketball and just about any sport. I also love travelling, discovering new experiences, and finding ways to keep learning and growing both personally and professionally. I look forward to meeting you at our next course and sharing my passion for ultrasound and hands-on learning!

Dr. Zunaira Jabbar
Director of Operations
Hello everyone! I’m Zunaira, a full-time dentist and Co-Founder of SonoRAY. As the Director of Operations, I help plan, organize, and oversee our courses to ensure everything runs smoothly and remains accessible for all trainees. I’m passionate about helping grow medical education that feels supportive, inspiring, and community-driven. Outside of SonoRAY, I love bringing creativity into everything I do, whether it’s designing and decorating spaces, trying out new baking recipes, or planning my next travel adventure. These hobbies keep me grounded and remind me of the joy in balancing precision with creativity, something I also bring to my work in dentistry and course coordination. I can’t wait to meet you at our next course and share in the excitement of learning together!

Denia Hamidi
Course Coordinator & Instructor
Hello everyone! My name is Denia and I am a 3rd-year medical student at McGill University. My passion for anatomy sparked early in medical school and naturally led me to ultrasound, where I enjoy seeing anatomy come alive in real time. Since then, I’ve been involved in teaching and organizing workshops to help other students explore PoCUS and grow more confident with scanning. When I’m not in class or on the wards, you’ll usually catch me at the nearest trail running or playing pickleball!! Looking forward to seeing you at the next event!

Hector Silva
Course Coordinator
Hi! My name is Hector and I am an MSc student in Health and Exercise Science at Concordia University. I found my way to Point-of-Care Ultrasound through volunteering where I was a standardized patient for a number of events. Given my background in anatomy/physiology and my clinical work, PoCUS felt like a natural extension of my interests. I’m looking forward to contributing to the education of future physicians through my work with SonoRAY! When not at the lab or at the JGH, you can find me in the archery range or listening to my favorite history podcasts. Looking forward to meeting you all!

Zhi Lin Li
Course Coordinator, Instructor
My name is Zhilin, a third-year medical student. My early exposure to PoCUS thanks to SonoRAY has been a game changer in my career planning, and now, with SonoRAY, I wish to engage the next generations of medical professionals in the vast amounts of applications of PoCUS across medicine.

Gulraaj Kaur
Social Media Coordinator
Hello everyone! My name is Gulraaj Kaur, and I am a 2nd-year medical student at McGill University. I was drawn to PoCUS for its ability to provide quick, bedside insight into what’s happening inside the body, and I really enjoy watching participants’ skills and confidence grow over time. After attending the SonoRAY bootcamp myself, I got involved as a Social Media Coordinator as a way to stay connected to ultrasound and share what our community is up to. When I’m not at school, you’ll usually find me reading a good thriller, trying vanilla lattes at new cafés, or at an improv class with my best friend!

Aroosa Batool
Executive Manager
As Executive Assistant at SonoRAY, I support the coordination of courses, faculty, participants, partnerships, and day-to-day operations. My role focuses on keeping communication and logistics organized while helping ensure each SonoRAY program runs smoothly and delivers a high-quality experience for learners and collaborators.
