Dr. Martin Garald Betz is a Royal College–certified Emergency Medicine specialist with over 40 years of frontline experience in acute care. A graduate of the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, he has practiced emergency medicine since 1985 and is recognized as an RCPSC Specialist by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Dr. Betz is highly skilled in the rapid assessment, diagnosis, and stabilization of critically ill and injured patients of all ages, with extensive experience managing time-sensitive medical, surgical, and traumatic presentations in high-acuity environments. His clinical philosophy emphasizes precision under pressure, compassionate patient-centered care, and strong interdisciplinary teamwork. Through SonoRAY, Dr. Betz has contributed to the launch of innovative virtual PoCUS education initiatives and remains deeply committed to expanding high-quality ultrasound training access for trainees and clinicians.
